Exposure assessment (EA) is the foundation to determining health risk through qualitative and quantitative approaches. This session will explore: 1) the qualitative EAs that have been developed and used as precursors to performing quantitative EAs; 2) the qualitative EA presented in ANSI standard A10.49, "Control of Chemical Hazards in Construction and Demolition Operations"; and 3) the need for determining exposure decision criteria as related to the EA process.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the session, the participant will be able to:
• Recognize the value of using a qualitative exposure assessment approach.
• Formulate exposure decision criteria in managing risk.
• Use the QlEA approach to drive your QtEA process.
