How to Start Your OEHS Network (AIHce EXP 2023 OnDemand)

Do you feel like you are experiencing network errors and struggling to create or find your IH tribe? Do you, through your work, your volunteer committee, or your AIHA sections, find reaching and engaging OEHS professionals challenging? Do you wish you had subject matter experts to contact or wish to be one that others contact? If these questions resonate with you, join this education session sponsored by the Mentoring & Professional Development (MPDC) and the Students and Early Career Professionals (SECP) Committee. This session will: 1) take you on a network-building journey with other OEHS professionals from diverse backgrounds and career stages; 2) discuss the lessons learned in building networks; 3) provide a framework to help resolve networking errors; 4) be structured as a campfire; 5) allow the attendees to bring their questions, comments, insights & experiences; and 6) facilitate networking!

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the session, the participant will be able to:

• Describe the principles of networking.
• Create a personal professional network.
• Apply networking principles across different locations and industries.
• Relate with other attendees to build an OEHS network.
